Steinmetz, Jaguar in Pole Position For Monaco Grand Prix

Luxury car maker Jaguar expects to be in pole position in the glamour stakes at the Monaco Grand Prix today (Sunday) with three Formula 1 cars with a diamond the size of a shirt button supplied by Israeli diamond firm Steinmetz embedded in the nose cone.
Hollywood stars George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and his wife Jennifer Aniston are also in town and along with the Jaguars will be promoting blockbuster movie “Ocean's 12” along with the Steinmetz company, one of Israel’s largest diamond firms and a Sightholder.
The tie-in with the film is because “Ocean’s 12” features a jewel heist and a car chase featuring Jaguars.
And with the US television networks out in force in Monaco, Jaguar, the film’s promoters and Steinmetz expect the diamond-studded cars to receive plenty of coverage.
Steinmetz is the formal sponsor of the Jaguar Racing team and the bargeboards of the Jaguar R5’s will boast the Steinmetz name - both Jaguar and Steinmetz will be hoping the cars do not suffer an accident as even a minor prang could knock out the $250,000 flawless diamond.
