Sotheby’s Antique and Contemporary Jewels Sale Nets $7.65 Mln

Fetching the highest hammer price was a 1900s Tiffany & Co emerald and diamond bracelet, which sold for £145,250 ($289,420), well above the £40,000-60,000 estimated selling price. The bracelet comprises a line of old mine diamonds, interspersed with three cabochon emeralds, each surrounded by a cluster of circular cut diamonds.
Also of note was a 5.20 carat pear shaped H / IF diamond ring, set with baguette shoulders, which sold for £79,250 ($158,000) and a 5.63 carat brilliant cut H / VVS2 diamond ring, which was sold for £103,250 ($205,744)
A Fürst emerald and diamond necklace, with stones designed as a series of stylized floral motifs, set with pear shaped and brilliant cut diamonds, sold for £97,250 ($193,765).
